In this video board certified trial lawyer Peter Bartinik, Jr. explains that there are two things that you really don't want to forget if you are in a car accident in Connecticut.
First, you should expect the defense to make some sort of contributory negligence claim. Even a frivolous one. You can defeat that by remembering exactly what you did to try to avoid the collision. You want to be able to show the jury that you did everything in your power to avoid the crash.
Second, you want to be able to explain the exact mechanism of injury. So, you should try to explain exactly how your body moved inside the car as it was thrown about from the impact. You want to be able to explain what part of your body hit what part of the inside of your car.
