The Medical History.

The first step in a medical exam is the medical history.  It is crucial for you to make sure you tell your doctor about the facts of the accident.  Be detailed.  Pay careful attention to the mechanics of injury.  Explain it.  Explain exactly how your body moved moments before the accident, and after as a result of accident.  Include accurate details about your pain.  Don't exagerate.

Now, if for some reason, you forget to tell your doctor about how you were injured then you might have destroyed your own case.  If there are no details about your accident in your medical history, the defense will argue that you have not proven that your injury was caused by the accident.
