You can get a ticket for talking on the phone while driving in Connecticut. The fine is not very large. The state legislature is considering a bill that would make distracted driving one of those moving violations that gets reported to your car insurance company. If the bill passes and becomes law, then it is possible that your insurance company will raise your insurance rates for a distracted driving offense. So, don't drive and speak on your cell phone at the same time. This is a step in the right direction since distracted driving has been reported to be more of a safety hazard than drunk driving.

If you have been seriously injured in a truck or car accident on Route 32 or Route 395 or any Connecticut highway contact the truck and car accident lawyers at The Bartinik Law Firm, 100 Fort Hill Road, Groton, Connecticut at 860 445 8521 or toll free at 888 717 4211.
