I read many radiology reports of x rays.  I see many findings of "degenerative changes" to the spine on x ray.  Invariably, in a spinal injury back case in New London, Connecticut, I deal with insurance adjusters who claim that degenerative changes on x ray means that my client had a pre-existing medical condition.

This is false.  The fact is that degenerative changes have nothing to do with whether someone suffered a prior traumatic event in the relative near future.  Degenerative changes on x ray are changes brought about by the normal aging process.  Just about anyone at middle age will show normal wear and tear to the their spine.  Don't let the insurance adjuster claim that you have a pre-existing medical condition just because you have aged normally and have normal degenerative changes showing on the x ray of your spine.

If you or anyone you know has had a car accident and the adjuster is making the claim that you have degnerative changes contact the New London car accident lawyers at The Bartinik Law Firm, PC., 100 Fort Hill Road, Groton, CT, 860 445 8521 or toll free at 888 717 4211.
