Q What does “no fault insurance” mean?
That means that each person has insurance on their car that protects them (first party) insurance and covers the first certain amount of damages regardless of fault. It covers the bills regardless of fault. In Connecticut we no longer have “no fault” insurance. Now, we have a fault based system so if you are harmed by someone else’s negligence you can make a claim against their insurance.
