Should I take my own pictures of my car even if the insurance company took pictures?

Yes.  There are several reasons that it makes sense to take your own pictures of your car.  First, it is very important to document the property damage for use in a trial if that is necessary.  The pictures taken by the insurance company are for their purposes only, and are normally of very poor quality.  Also, they might not document the full extent of your property damages as well as you will.
